New partnership between Amadeus, Booking.Com and Conferma Pay to simplify the business travel payment process
Through this partnership, business travelers booking from booking.com will no longer have to pay with their credit card and will receive an expense report upon check-out. The company will be able to be billed directly, an important friction point will then be removed. This new payment method reinforces the partnership already established between Amadeus and the hotel booking platform Booking.com.

To overcome this problem, Amadeus, Booking.com, and Conferma Pay have joined forces to offer business travelers a simplified payment procedure at check-out.

Amadeus-Booking.com-Conferma Pay - An ultra simplified payment process
The number of Booking.com establishments that can be paid for via Amadeus Hotel Billback increases from 20% to over 80%, thus avoiding personal expenses for company employees.
“With the integration of Booking.com content into Amadeus Hotel Billback, which is based on Conferma Pay, TMCs and their corporate customers have an opportunity to use the virtual payment for all their hotel bookings,” said Kelly Cleeton, Director, Global Business Development at Conferma Pay.
This new solution also brings another benefit to an additional stakeholder, the travel agencies, by reducing the risk of fraud as well as better expense tracking for businesses.
Business travelers can access the vast majority of Booking.com hotels, more than one million establishments, through the Amadeus platform, designed to meet the business travel needs of their customers.
For the more technical and real aspect, when a business trip is planned via Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, Amadeus Web Services, and Amadeus Cytric Travel & Expense, Conferma Pay automatically generates a “virtual card“, which booking.com then transmits to the hotel.
At the time of payment, the establishment validates the reservation on this virtual card, thus connecting the reservation and payment data. Amadeus facilitates communication between Conferma Pay and Booking.com, which can now contact each hotel directly and provide payment information.
“Thanks to these joint developments by Amadeus, Booking.com, and Conferma, travel agencies will offer an additional advantage to travelers who choose Booking.com hotels. This will allow agents to quickly reconcile all reservations paid for on behalf of customers, and reduce the manual tasks required to book and pay for hotels for business customers,” said Katja Bohnet, Director of Hotel Distribution, Hospitality, Amadeus.
